I would LOVE to be a part in planning weddings for a living. But I have no idea how I would get into a business like that Like, I guess I’m wondering how I would get to be an apprentice or intern to a wedding planner. I just dont know where to begin! If anyone has any suggestions or info please let me know! Thanks!

I live in sydney and need to no where i should go to get married. I am thinking of a garden wedding i have already brought our rings but i have about 1100.00 to spend.
I was woundering anyone out there has any ideas where i can go or any ideas on how to keep tyhe cost down.
i have 30 guest and half are childern, and plan to get married november or febuary.
My brother & sister-in-law had a low key wedding that was the best I’ve been to! they hired a function room in a nice pub that had a bar – guests won’t be offended if they know you don’t have much and they pay for their own drinks. Being really hot they stated strictly casual dress – the bride bought a lovely designer dress and my bro just wore a nice open collored shirt and being 40degrees there was more than a few of us wearing sarongs!
The wedding cake was a stack of yummy nicely iced chocolate cupcakes – no need for cutting and distributing, plates, etc, just a stack of napkins. My other sister-in-law’s mother got a large piece of styrofoam and then shaped and iced it to look like a really expensive cake! everyone thought it was a great idea!
You could also put on the invitations that instead of presents could people make cash donations. It takes the pressure off people wondering what to get you too – they really won’t mind.
Or if you’ve got someone with a BBQ who’ll offer to cook you can never go wrong with kebabs (once again don’t need plates, just napkins and somewhere to put the sticks). You can buy them in bulk already made up and marinated for 80c-$1.20 a stick and whatevers leftover you can freeze. Sausage sandwiches, steak sandwiches. that’s the sort of food you can keep churning out and will fill people up pretty quickly – and the kids love it.
Hope this’s given you some ideas – try not to stress and remember the day is all about you… not how expensive the table setting looks!
when is a good time to make wedding favors?

Our wedding is in 3 months. ( 93 days to be exact, whooo hoo ) Im just going to make simple favors of M&m’s wrapped in tulle. I have plastic wine cups and swans, and even "glass slippers" ( not sure which im using yet though.
When is a good time i can do them to get them done and out of the way? Is it still too early. Will the chocolate go stale? How would i store them?
How soon before the wedding, if you used candy like that did you make your favors?
I would wait and do it a few more days before your wedding… Friends and family should be able to help.
And, I love the glass slipper idea!! 
Get some popcorn, veggie trays, dips, etc. together and have a little get-together so you can all still enjoy yourselves without it seeming like a chore…

When you look at the spring collections for 09, you will see that one of the hottest color combinations for brides who don’t want the "white" wedding is black and champagne.
This combination is truly stunning and I think you will even see more of it in the fall collections as well.
If black is too dark, then consider a light blue. French blue and gold have long been a color combination that makes a very opulent statement. Best of luck to you and your sister.
